How to Choose the Perfect Surf Swimwear

If you are women and like to surf and like water sports in general then you already know that not every bikini or swimwear is suitable for such an intense sea sport...
In this guide, we will explain to you what makes a swimwear to be a good fit for surfing. If you follow this simple surf bikini guide, no matter how pro you get at surfing, or how famous you might be, no one will ever catch you baring more than you intended.

To get us started... Let me show you what you don't want you to happen while you surfing and showing off your new tricks on the board:

Yes... it can get embarrassing! Let's not do this mistakes and take my advice!   Thank me later!

Stay Safe

For some people, it's not common knowledge but you can actually get serious injuries just from wearing swimwear that is bad for your back.
As I show on the image below when wearing a very tight bikini that laces up at the back of your neck, all the weight that the bikini is supporting is transferred on your cervical... This has caused cervical injuries in the past and it is definitely not the best for your well being and back.
Our suggestion to this problem is to use a shoulder or cross support Swimwear like so:

A shoulder support swimwear will evenly distribute the pressure over your back and will help your body move fluidly without causing any pain.

 The Top

For the top of your swimwear is really when common sense kicks in.. Sure, bandeau tops will be great to use around the swimming pool and to avoid tan lines. But when you get on those waves will come off in seconds.

What you really need is a bikini that provides you good support and wraps around the waist keeping everything in place so you can focus only on one thing... the waves!

This is a great example of keeping a good looking design swimwear while giving you that extra support on the top:

The Bottom

So to address the bottom part of your bikini lets look at a cute example:

Sure this will definitely hold now if you are splashing around on a calm sea day. But if you really mean business then you need swimwear that is slightly ticker and ties at the hips so you can focus on surfing that perfect wave instead of thinking if your bottom is still on...

 In Summary

When looking for swimwear you need to think about what the main purpose of it will be. You might just want to go to a pool party and show off your new fancy bikini.

But if you are keen on water sports then why not have both? A swimwear that looks great on you but is also durable and able to stay on and stable while you do your favorite thing... Surf!
